Arrival & City Exploration: Arrive in Nuwara Eliya, often called "Little England" for its cool climate, colonial-era bungalows, and manicured gardens. Settle into your hotel and take a leisurely walk around the town.

Afternoon: Visit Gregory Lake, a serene artificial lake where you can enjoy a boat ride, swan-shaped pedal boats, or a pony ride along the shore.

Evening: Explore the town center, see the historic Nuwara Eliya Post Office, and enjoy a warm dinner at a local restaurant.

Tea, Gardens & Waterfalls (Nuwara Eliya & Labookelle)

Morning: Drive to the Labookelle Tea Factory, one of the oldest and most famous tea factories in the region. Take a complimentary tour to see the tea-making process from leaf to cup and enjoy a fresh cup of Ceylon tea.

Afternoon: Visit the stunning Hakgala Botanical Garden, known for its exotic plant species, including a beautiful rose garden and a variety of ferns.

Evening: Hike to Lover's Leap Waterfall, a picturesque cascade with a local legend, offering a beautiful view of the tea estates.

The Legendary Train Ride to Ella

Morning: Enjoy a scenic drive from Nuwara Eliya to the Nanu Oya railway station. Board the famous train to Ella, a journey considered one of the most beautiful in the world. The train meanders through misty mountains, lush tea plantations, and quaint villages, offering countless photo opportunities.

Afternoon: Arrive in the bohemian town of Ella and check into your hotel. Spend the afternoon exploring the vibrant main street with its cozy cafes and artisan shops.

Evening: Relax and enjoy the laid-back atmosphere of Ella.

Hiking & Iconic Views (Ella)

Morning: Hike to Little Adam's Peak, a relatively easy trek that rewards you with incredible 360-degree views of the Ella Gap and the surrounding hills.

Afternoon: Visit the iconic Nine Arches Bridge, a stunning colonial-era railway bridge framed by lush greenery. You can walk along the tracks and wait for the famous blue train to pass by for the perfect picture.

Evening: Enjoy a local Sri Lankan cooking class and learn to make delicious curries.

Misty Mountains & Tea Barons' View (Haputale & Bandarawela)

Morning: Take a day trip to Haputale and Bandarawela, two charming hill towns known for their stunning views and cooler climate.

Afternoon: Drive to Lipton's Seat, a viewpoint named after the famous tea baron Sir Thomas Lipton. On a clear day, you can see as far as the Indian Ocean. The drive or hike through the Dambatenne Tea Estate is an experience in itself.

Evening: On your way back, stop at Adisham Bungalow, a beautiful British-style country house now a monastery

Majestic Waterfalls & Departure

Morning: On your way out of the hill country, stop to admire some of the region's spectacular waterfalls.

  • Ravana Falls: A wide, cascading waterfall located near Ella.
  • Diyaluma Falls: Sri Lanka's second-tallest waterfall, a must-see for its impressive height and the natural pools at the top (requires a short hike).

Departure: Transfer to your next destination or to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB) for your flight home.
